These all came from yesterday, 5/15/2024. Minor storms in the area, thought I would try to catch some sunset images in front of Bear Mountain. For years now I have been talking about forest road 525 in Sedona. It allows you to avoid the crowds and offers some dispersed camping. Great way to see this area on a budget. In this image the sun peeks through and shines on Bear Mountain. A clump of bear grass sends up flower stalks. Just wondering around.

Things at the base of Bear Mountain. Four Parry's agave send up the flower stalk. Sedona, Az. The one in front is massive and may go another ten feet as the flowers unfurl.

Desert daisy and Engleman's hedgehog bloom.

Stuff I've never posted. Cathedral Rock at sunset. Sedona, Az.

Stuff I've never posted before. West Fork of Oak Creek in Sedona. Up tight to the canyon walls with a Fall twist.

This field out in West Sedona. Let me tell you about it. I have been coming out here for years now. In the Spring this spot is full of flowers. Bear Mountain in the distance, and this buckhorn cholla in the foreground. Buds have formed on this wonderful plant, June for flowers. To see the wonder you have to get low.

Globemallow, purple owl clover, and nightshade at sunset.
