Find music & podcasts in YouTube Music

With YouTube Music, you can listen to music and podcasts you love. Learn how to browse and find music and podcasts in the YouTube Music app.

How to use and navigate the YouTube Music App to customize your listening experience

Discover music and podcasts on the Home tab

Check out customized stations and recommendations based on your current mood, activity, or listening history. When you sign in to YouTube Music with your Google Account, you'll also see recommendations based on music and podcasts you've listened to on YouTube.

To find new recommendations, go to the Home tab . To filter your suggestions, tap a category at the top of your Home screen.

Explore new music and podcasts

The Explore tab lets you find new music and podcasts to expand your library. View popular releases, genres, playlists, podcasts, episodes, and more in your country/region, or browse by category.

Build your library

Tap Library to view songs, playlists, albums, and podcasts you've saved to your library. As a YouTube Music Premium member, you can also scan recently played songs and playlists, and see any content you've downloaded.

Search for music and podcasts

Type in the search bar to find music and podcasts in the YouTube Music app. Use the categories at the top of the page to filter your results.

You can also use Sound Search to find new music. Use your microphone to identify songs, then start listening in the YouTube Music app.

Build your YouTube Music library with sound search

To start a Sound Search, make sure that your microphone is enabled. Then,

1. Sign in to the YouTube Music app.
2. Tap in the upper right corner.
3. Tap .
4. Play, sing, or hum a song.

If there’s a match, the song will appear with the option to play it or save it to your Library. If there isn’t a match, tap to try again.

Stay connected with your favorite artists

Use the Activity Feed  to find new releases from artists you follow, playlists created by your friends, and more. You can also view comments and likes on videos, or interact with your subscribers. To view your Activity Feed, sign in to the YouTube Music app and tap at the top of the screen.

Browse the artist or channel page

Artist and channel pages display other content from a specific creator. You can also browse details, add music or podcasts to your library, or download content from artist or channel pages.
