Third-party sites & apps with access to your child’s account

Important: Third-party apps and sites are created by companies or developers that aren’t Google.

Manage access to third-party sites & apps

Third-party apps may request access to sensitive information from your child’s Google Account. Sensitive information can include your child’s location, selfies, and communications with family and friends. Learn about the risks.

With Family Link

  1. Select your child.
  2. Tap Controls and then Account settings and then Controls for third-party apps.
  3. Select the level of control for third-party apps.
  4. To review which sites and apps have access, select Manage third-party app access.

Tips:

  • When you allow access, you can find a full list of the third-party apps and sites with permission to access your child's account.
  • You can also manage your child's account when you click on your child's name at g.co/YourFamily.

Remove third-party access from specific apps

Important: You can remove access at any time. You may need to request that the third-party delete the data they already have.

With Family Link

  1. Select your child.
  2. Tap Controls and then Account settings and then Controls for third-party apps.
  3. Tap Manage third-party app access.
  4. Select the app you want to remove access from.
  5. Tap Remove access.

Tips:

  • Whether or not your child can control their own account settings doesn't change the settings themselves. It’s recommended for parents to make sure the settings are correct after they change this control.
  • You can also manage your child's account when you click on your child's name at g.co/YourFamily.
