You can control which phone number the Google Assistant uses when it performs tasks for you.
For example, the Google Assistant will provide this phone number when it makes a restaurant reservation.
Changing this number won’t change the number used for making calls on speakers and Smart Displays. Learn how to change your outgoing call number or the phone numbers associated with your Google Account.
Google Assistant on your mobile device
- On your Android phone or tablet, say "Hey Google, open Assistant settings."
- Under "Popular settings," tap Basic info Phone number your phone number.
- Enter the phone number you want the Google Assistant to use.
- When you receive a text message with a code, enter the code.
- Tap Verify.
Google Assistant for speaker or Smart Display
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Home app .
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial Assistant settings.
- Under "All settings," tap Communication Call providers.
- Next to your phone number, tap Edit Add or change phone number.
- Enter the phone number you want Google Assistant to use.
- When you receive a text message with a code, enter the code.
- Tap Verify.
