Manage your Location Sharing settings

You can share your real-time location with contacts of your choice.

What you need 

Important: Location Sharing works differently if a parent manages your Google Account. Learn more about location sharing on supervised accounts.

  • Mobile device 
  • Internet connection 
  • Location services turned on for your device 

Share your location 

Tip: You need a mobile device to share your real-time location, but you can control your Location Sharing settings from a computer

Location Sharing is available in several Google apps. To get started, you can share your location with Google Maps.

Stop sharing your location with someone 

  1. Open your Location Sharing settings
  2. Next to the person's name, tap Remove 
true
