This week during the TYPES 2024 at IT-Universitetet i København, Mauro Jaskelioff is presenting the paper ‘Mechanizing BFT consensus protocols in Agda’ by Orestis Melkonian, Mauro Jaskelioff, James Chapman, and Jon Rossie. This work introduces a layered, refinement-based approach to formalizing BFT consensus protocols using Agda, aiming to verify zero-knowledge proofs for finalized blockchain chains, and includes a new #Rust compilation backend for conformance testing.
