Accessibility Service

The accessibility service is necessary for a series of alarm tasks called CAPTCHA. Completing tasks such as sheep counting, doing math, or scanning a barcode on your toothpaste will ensure you get up on time and are fully awake.
The accessibility Service prevents you from cheating the CAPTCHA tasks by force stopping the app or turning off the device before completing them. No personal information is collected.

This app may also use the Device Administrator permission to prevent you from cheating CAPTCHA tasks (see above) by uninstalling the app.

I've been using this for over 10 years now and still love it. My only issue is that an update or two ago, it became much more difficult to edit a playlist made of music on my phone. One of my music files in a 12 song playlist is broken, and I can't just edit it to remove it. EDIT: No, using the File icon under Playlist will only let me choose 1 song, even if I long-press to try to choose multiple, and then shows it under Song not Playlist.

Hello Nina, we support Android playlists, if you have the playlist created in m3u format, you can pick it as the ringtone.

Sleep as Android is one of the best paid-for options out there. Free trial to test, trends, options, multiple ways to track sleep even without having the phone nearby, and so on. The free version allows sleep tracking, but no trends, however (Sleep Tracker by Leap Fitness has trends for free, and Sleep Calculator). That being said, I don't completely trust the accuracy of any app that doesn't connect to heart rate and oxygen sensors. Also, it failed to pick up some noises, like me test talking.

Hello Josiah, the SpO2 and HR data depends on the wearable - not all wearables allow reading SpO2. Which wearable exactly do you have? If you have troubles with sound recording, please use the Left ≡ menu → (?) Support → Report a bug, and send us your application logs. Thank you.

The developer is good at responding professionally. Not only is this the best full featured alarm clock, this app is essential for people who want to wake up refreshed instead of groggy because it times your wakeup window. It's also very good for heavy sleepers because you can rotate random loud alarm sounds on a playlist, so your body won't get used to a daily alarm sound. The only thing is the backup loud alarm might not be jarring enough, even though it's tested for heavy sleepers.

Hello Vega, you can create a playlist with random order, so you will have a different sound every day. The basic ringtone the app uses for the backup alarm was tested for heavy sleepers. But you can use any sound file you have on the local storage.
