I'm completely disappointed with this app. After one week of usage, the app simply failed to start, just displaying "loading..." message and rotating spinner. Yes, I'm aware of different tricks that can make it work - clearing cache, restarting the phone, etc., but this is not what is expected from the paid application. Canceling subscription and returning back to the Google Maps. :(

I had own a total of 3, TomTom devices. I decided to install the app so I can have a second alternative in the vehicle that can be viewed in the infotainment system by android Auto. Yesterday, August 29th, I tested it out on a long 7 hours drive from Queens, NY, to Montréal Canada, and found two things that I do not like. 1). Is the map on 3 or 4 had to be reloaded, even though the maps are downloaded on the device. 2) it don't show exit numbers, only announce them. What if I did not hear it?

Hi Asborn, thanks for reaching out. For point no. (1) Clear the app's cache, disable power-saving mode, reboot your phone, and in the app's permission, tap Location: 'allow all the time'. Love TomTom Navigation. I had it factory installed in my leased Nissan but once the lease was over and I chose a different Make vehicle, there was a different Nav system installed in their brand vehicles. I was bummed. I didn't like it. So glad TomTom has their Nav as an app. I can use it now in any vehicle I decide to lease in the future. Updates are painless. No more hooking up cables to Nav devices to update. As long as TomTom keeps the app working great, I'll be a long-time customer.
