I am a premium subscriber. One of the appealing features was the ability to play video audio even while the screen was off or locked. Now after a few minutes the audio will stop playing. Also, if I momentarily pause the video and go to another app, the YouTube app restarts instead of picking up where I left off. The app will randomly reboot when in use.

Over the past couple years the quality of this platform has been greatly diminished due to greed around ad revenue. I get an ad at the start of every video. Ignoring the skip function which varies from 5sec, 10sec, 20sec, 30sec, and more commonly these past couple of months, 45seconds which appears pretty frequent! On top of that, when the skip timer expires, the irrelevant ads commonly state 90+ seconds. What a burned on the consumer. And also what a waste of time! I find myself not using YT!

The thing where after you finish a video and a suggested video pops up is getting extremely annoying. It was bad enough that the drop down arrow was removed once the video is finished so you have to keep hitting the back key, but now I'm even more annoyed because there's no options in settings to turn off suggested videos. Update: Now the random YouTube mixes of songs have annoyed me constantly. I can't remove them, I can make it so I'm not recommended them. I would rather have the actual video.
