I was listening to a great song by Nirvana in my picture in picture while playing games. I go to sleep and try listening to it again in the morning, but when I clicked the square at the bottom of my phone it didn't appear. and I know for a fact that YouTube turned it off because picture in picture doesn't work for videos that aren't songs. also, 60 second ads with no skip button? that's wild. I get ads bring in money, or something, but that's just ridiculous. youtube used to be so great, too...

the u.i. has just been on an abysmal down hill trajectory in the last 4 years. I provide all kinds of feed back, for example you can't provide just any screenshot, limiting your ability to show them the issue, and you can't give feedback just anywhere on the app, so the automated screenshot doesn't even capture the issues either. this has been wrong forever. even worse now, you can't uninstall the app to reset it. app doesn't let me comment on yt shorts, even my own posts.

UX is so so so poor. it is genuinely PAINFUL to try and seek through a video now that it forces you to snap to different sections. And why is the UI so small? I need to be so precise to use it. Also, every time I do ANYTHING to the video, the video speed is reset to 1x speed. skip 10s? reset. change video? reset. seek? reset. I am genuinely impressed by the fact that this team manages to make the app WORSE with each update. bravo, guys! this is why I (+ others) will not be renewing my premium.
