About this game

“Good Dogs Bring Joy” is a casual game that flips the virtual pet genre on its head. The user plays as a dog named Alex who wants to help their owner. To succeed, Alex needs to be a good dog, help out around the house and protect their pack.

Help your humans, Iris and Grant, with daily tasks to fulfill your dream of being man’s best friend. Explore the neighborhood and see what nifty things abound, but keep an eye on those humans, you never know when they’re going to get themselves into trouble!

Good Dogs Bring Joy was designed by Grace, 15, a finalist of Google Play’s Change the Game Design Challenge. In partnership with Girls Make Games, Grace worked with GMG’s development team to bring her game to life.

I greatly enjoyed this game, and with the lack of clear instructions it definitely simulated being a recently adopted dog adapting to a new home. Learn quickly and repeat positive actions! However, there were a lot of times where I ended up glitched into something and I would lose an item. It would not reset so I would lose it for a few days. If one of the characters wanted it, or it was the whistle, I was out of luck. It also took a long time to walk to items, and then back to people.

Adorable graphics, gameplay left a bit to be desired. I felt like bringing the humans items didn't really pay off except them giving me a simple comment. Why did the Aunt have a happy meter and the child didn't? I didn't like when you walked next to another item, the item you had gets replaced. Also the training session felt too long. I didn't notice anything happening when going to the neighborhood/backyard? Maybe that will be expanded upon in the future? Overall, a cute & joyful little game!

I rate it 2 stars, It was good and all, but there is a problem, the controls were hard and picking up an item for me was hard, I keep picking up an item that I don't need, the graphic was good, the day and night cycle was fast, and whenever I get trained in the game, It was hard for me making many mistakes because I don't know what the woman wanted me to do. Pls fix this, this really will be a good game if this is fixed
