IN PHOTOS: Seiko Epson Corporation, one of the leading technology enterprises in the world, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on eCommerce on 10 June 2024. This MOU establishes a code of practice and enhances collaboration between eCommerce platforms and brand owners to protect intellectual property (IP) rights on digital platforms. IPOPHL facilitates the onboarding of interested participants to the MOU, as well as convenes the review and assessment of the MOU. By signing the MOU, Seiko Epson Corporation is now part of a collective undertaking to protect the well-being of businesses and consumers against counterfeiting. This now brings the total number of MOU signatories to 38. Seiko Epson Corporation was represented by Mr. Toshihiko Kobayashi, General Administrative Manager, Intellectual Property Division. Witnesses to the signing include #IPOPHL DG Rowel S. Barba, DDG Ann Claire C. Cabochan, and DDG Nathaniel S. Arevalo. Also present during the signing is Usec. Mary Jean T.
