Every organisation is different and their requirements related to IAM will be different. One size fits all strategy never works in IAM. First things first, is to understand the business goals and requirements. Based on the business requirements and the size of the organization also the industry the organisation is from. An IAM strategy needs to be created. Its important to focus on the basics as I always believe that if the foundation is not strong, you can't build castles over it. Make sure that the identity lifecycle is handled well, principle of least privilege is implemented. Proper RBAC is in place so on and so forth.

Improving is directly proportional to learning. Its very important that the data visualization tool is embraced with the organization and stakeholder community as it starts a very good and important feedback loop. Constructive feedback from the stakeholder community always improve the offering in return enhancing the knowledge of the individual and teams. So please share and share with more and more stakeholders. You cant go wrong with sharing.

As we say change is the only constant. However good the visualization is, it is bound to change and get updated because of inaccuracies, change is requirements, change in the data source, ambiguity etc etc. Refining and constantly evolving is the key to effective data visualization.

The right technique and the right representation of data visualization is as important as the data. For effective communication and understanding its paramount that the right technique and approach is picked-up from the buffet of techniques which are available these days. The choice also depends on the audience and the standards if data visualization used in the industry.

I always say that a tool is as good as its implementation. Sometimes you just need to see whats available and how can we best utilize it. Data visualization is a most important step if you want to have an engaging conversation with the stakeholders to get the message across. There is no right and wrong tool but depends on the usability, need & security. Of course, by staying under the budget.

Strategy is the most used and let’s say confused term in corporates due to lack of ineffective communication. So it’s important to communicate the strategy well. But before the communication you need to know who are you communicating to and what is the best way to get the message across. Hence knowing your audience is of paramount importance.
