Samsung Internet v23.0 Stable, coming with enhanced security and convenience
At last, I could introduce the new features which would provide secure and convenient experience at the same time, all bundled together with Samsung Internet 23.0 stable version.
Logging into websites by manually entering IDs and passwords can often be a frustrating experience, even with the convenience of browser password-saving and auto-filling features. To address this issue, Samsung Internet has been offering solutions, including the Credential Manager API and Web Authentication API. However, these solutions haven’t always provided the level of convenience users desire. These solutions help to make managing passwords easier, we can make logging in much more convenient by avoiding the need for passwords
Recognizing this need, FIDO Alliance has introduced an enhanced standard called Passkey. With version 23.0, Samsung Internet starts to support Passkey, for a safer and more convenient user experience at the same time.
Samsung Internet users can sync their opened tabs from one device to another by logging into their Samsung Account. However, there has been some inconvenience for users who utilize tab groups because Samsung Internet did not sync tab group information. Starting from version 23.0, we have introduced the capability to sync tab group information as well. This means that users can now find their opened tabs categorized by tab groups across their devices, offering a more organized browsing experience.
As I mentioned at the blog post for the beta version of v23.0, the underlying Chromium engine is version 115. You can download Samsung Internet v23.0 (on any Android device, with Android O and above) via the Galaxy Store or Play Store.
