New Plan for Shopify Plus: Easily Display Terms and Conditions Agreement Checkbox at Checkout!
Hello! We’ve released a new plan for our Shopify app “Checkbox Assistant,” which allows you to easily install a checkbox for agreeing to terms and conditions right on the checkout screen. Let’s dive into what this new feature offers.
Why did we create this feature?
Until now, Shopify Plus merchants could customize their checkout screen using Checkout.liquid, but with Checkout.liquid customization set to be discontinued on August 13, 2024, there’s a need to transition to customization using Checkout Extensibility.
This transition requires some engineering knowledge, so we developed this feature to allow merchants without in-house engineering resources to easily customize their checkout screen from the admin panel. This feature is not only for those needing to transition but also for anyone looking to implement a new setup. Although the current release focuses on displaying a terms and conditions agreement checkbox on the checkout screen, we’re considering developing a more versatile app that allows for further customization of the checkout experience based on user needs.
Feature Introduction
The feature is straightforward: set up the text and link for the terms and conditions checkbox, and input the ID in the app block on the checkout screen.
About the New Plan The details of the new PLUS PLAN, which utilizes Checkout UI extensions and is exclusively available for Shopify Plus users, can be found via the link below.
