NWS suggests that the Finleyville tornado was potentially an EF2

A tornado hit Finleyville, Washington County, causing destruction with trees down, homes damaged, and a church struck with worshippers inside. The National Weather Service indicated it was likely an EF2 tornado with winds between 111 and 135 mph. The tornado caused damage to homes, trees, and telephone poles in the area. This tornado was part of a larger trend for tornados in May, with seven already recorded in the region. Despite the devastation, there were no serious injuries reported. The NWS plans to provide further updates on the storm on Monday.
