Boater leaves scene after fatally colliding with girl in Florida waters

Florida’s fish and wildlife commission is searching for a boater who fatally struck a girl while she was waterskiing near Nixon Beach in Key Biscayne. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. The girl died from her injuries, but the FWC has not released her age or identity. The commission is looking for a center console boat with a light blue hull and white outboard motors that was last seen heading west from the scene.
