At Hanon Systems, we are proud of our commitment to the environment and our efforts to switch to renewable energy sources. Our plant in #BadHomburg, #Germany has partnered with their local municipal utility company to reduce emissions by building a large photovoltaic system on the roof of the production facility. The 6,000 m2 system is expected to have an output of 750 kWp, which will support the site's energy requirements and reduce electricity costs. Installation is set to complete in Q3 of this year. On World Environment Day, Hanon Systems is proud to join the efforts of #GenerationRestoration to protect and revive the earth’s resources. In 2023, we surpassed our energy efficiency and water withdrawal improvement goals, and are constantly working to become more sustainable by reducing our carbon emissions, water usage and impact to forests. On Global Recycling Day, Hanon Systems recognizes the MP&L team in #Apodaca for efforts to reduce material consumption and improve the site’s environmental impact. The team switched the entire operation to hybrid pallets that use 50% recycled wood, saving 270 trees per year. They also transferred one program to returnable packaging, eliminating 46,000 boxes per year and countless plastic bags.
