Fire crews responding to small wildland fire in the Santa Maria riverbed Wednesday

SANTA MARIA, Calif. – Fire crews are responding to a 20-foot by 20-foot wildland fire in the Santa Maria riverbed east of Santa Maria Wednesday.

The fire is currently contained to the riverbed northeast of Santa Maria and fire teams from both Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties are responding to the fire at the county border detailed the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department.

The San Luis Obispo County Fire Department shared the image below showing the location of the fire as the red marker.
