    SATO, a part of LIXIL, participated in the 10th World Water Forum organized in Bali, Indonesia. The tri-annual event brought together 64,000 participants from 160 countries. The forum featured an impressive 278 sessions and 254 expo and fair booths, fostering a global dialogue on water and sanitation solutions. Erin McCusker, Leader for SATO and LIXIL Public Partners engaged with industry stakeholders, government officials, and water specialists to explore collective strategies to accelerate global sanitation and hygiene.     For the last five years, LIXIL has been working closely with UNICEF on the Make a Splash! (MaS!) partnership. As the largest shared-value partnership for water, sanitation, and hygiene within UNICEF, we’ve partnered together to promote safe sanitation and hygiene through education and product distribution, empowering governments to prioritize WASH programming, and strengthening sanitation markets around the world. Today, we’re proud to announce that we’ve: 👨👩👧 Reached 12.7 million people through MaS! in five years 🚿 Empowered governments to train over 738,000 stakeholders worldwide in sanitation improvements 🌍 Directed over $2 million from government budgets and facilitated nearly $6 million in loans for activities like stipends for community health promoters in Kenya It’s because of this success that we’re extending our partnership until 2027 to reach more communities around the world – as part of our mission to make better homes a reality for everyone, everywhere.     At this year's Milan Design Week, visitors to the GROHE SPA 'Aquatecture' installation experienced a sense of relaxation and serenity, inspired by the former courtyard garden of Palazzo Reale. The ‘Aquatecture’ installation not only highlighted the benefits of 'Health through Water' but also offered carefully curated pieces from the GROHE SPA portfolio, providing a space for interaction, inspiration, and relaxation amidst the bustling streets of Milan. Throughout Milan Design Week, captivating events unfolded: 👉 Guided tours led by the LIXIL Global Design Team for our clients and the media, introducing new product concepts such as the GROHE Icon 3D and the GROHE Atrio Outdoor Shower, highlighting upcoming product launches for the GROHE Allure Gravity and the new GROHE Satin finish in the colors Satin Steel and Satin Graphite. 👉 Aqua Talks, a series of captivating discussions with renowned architects and leading designers focusing on the impact of water on our health and wellbeing and the creation of luxurious yet regenerative spaces. 👉 Daily Aqua Ritual as an opening ceremony including a meditation and an additional unique sensory experience. We were amazed by the positive feedback and reactions. From people simply sitting and enjoying the calming atmosphere to profound discussions about the fusion of water and architecture as well as our products, the installation embodied the essence of GROHE SPA while presenting it as a luxurious yet accessible, open brand.     We are excited to share that LIXIL has received a total of 13 iF Design Awards this year, one of the world’s most prestigious and meaningful recognitions for high design quality, functionality, and social impact. Through our LIXIL power brands – American Standard, INAX, and GROHE – we have been awarded in various categories, ranging from bathroom and kitchen to building technologies and exhibitions. The competition was intense: almost 11,000 entries were submitted from 72 countries in hopes of receiving the international seal of quality. To be awarded means passing a rigorous two-stage selection by a 132-member jury, made up of independent experts from all over the world, and we are very proud to have achieved this a total of 13 times with our consumer-centric solutions.     Today we announced full-year financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024. LIXIL CEO Kinya Seto commented, “During the fiscal year ending in March 2024, LIXIL experienced a decline in both revenue and profit on a consolidated level. Although the new housing market in Japan contracted more than initially projected, robust demand for renovation products, especially for home insulation, helped to sustain our financial performance. However, we encountered particularly adverse market conditions in our international business, with a slowdown in demand across the year, most acutely felt in Europe and the US. In response to these extraordinary market conditions, we have taken decisive actions aligned with the strategic initiatives set forth in our 'LIXIL Playbook.' We initiated structural reforms early in the fiscal year aimed at recovering the profitability of our international business operations. This included optimizing our personnel allocation in Europe and the US, further reviewing our business portfolio, including the streamlining of loss-making entities, and restructuring our supply chain. We anticipate these initiatives will further improve our profitability from the fiscal year ending March 2025. To enhance financial performance and achieve sustainable growth, we remain focused on serving consumers with more differentiated products while also delivering a positive impact for society and the environment.
