To strengthen our Apple Music editorial team, we are looking for an experienced person who is knowledgeable and passionate about artists and music.

Description

This is an overview of some of the responsibilities you will help the Apple Music team with: - Contributing to the editorial strategy and deciding editorial priorities, taking into account product release info, demographic targeting, partner promotions and sponsorship opportunities etc. - Curate local storefronts and playlists to make sure customers are presented with the best ecosystem. - Making sure the editorial voice is clear and well balanced between innovative promotions and the discovery of great new music. - Work with various international teams to plan the scheduling of music releases and execute on promotions. - Identify, understand and communicate the local market trends, music industry developments, needs and opportunities for Apple Music to our regional and international teams. - Supporting an overall Apple Music editorial strategy that seeks to synchronise marketing and editorial activities across media types (Apps, Music, Arcade, TV+, Video, Podcasts, Books, etc.) in a co-ordinated fashion. - Researching user activity using internal reporting tools to refine editorial selection on a weekly basis. - Working with the Marketing team to maximise the reach of promotion opportunities. - Liaising with the Production team on a weekly basis to ensure that design, audio and copy requirements are delivered in a timely fashion and are always consistent with our brand values. Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years experience and knowledge in professional music curation.
  • Experience in subscription based businesses.
  • This is a contract role of 12 months
  • This role is based in Sydney

  • Extraordinary attention to detail, ability to work in a highly collaborative and inclusive environment
  • Good project management understanding, and have good grasp of use of technology including a customised CMS platform
  • A genuine passion for music and entertainment, and good understanding of Apple Services as well as the competitive landscape
