Description
In this role as RF Receiver Systems Engineer you will be a part of the System Engineering team that is tasked with driving innovation of cellular receiver architectures across the whole cellular frequency range.
As part of a team of Systems Engineers you will work closely with chip architects, digital and analog design teams to meet the challenges of the next generation wireless products.
Your daily work includes the following tasks:
- Develop and implement advanced DSP algorithms for cellular receiver systems
- Perform system-level simulations and testing to validate the performance of DSP algorithms and solutions.
- Translate system level and performance requirements into specification of optimized digital signal processing blocks
- Develop HW and SW algorithms to optimized the receiver performance.
- Provide technical expertise and support for product development and testing
Occasional travel including international may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
- In depth knowledge and real life experience in digital signal processing and knowledge of algorithms to compensate analog impairments in the digital domain. Relevant experience in the design of interpolators/decimators, fractional rate converter, power efficient filter structures and parallel data processing.
- Matlab skills are essential. Experience in an object oriented programming language like C++, Python is highly welcome.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in wireless RF systems engineering (e.g Cellular, WIFI, BT,...) including validated expertise in digital signal processing for wireless application.
- Proficiency in English language is required.
Key Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Real life experience with adaptive algorithms and/or machine learning is a plus
- Understanding of Cellular Radio/3GPP Standards (LTE, LTE-A, 5G NR FR1, 5G NR FR2), receiver architectures and receiver system design is a plus.
- Basic understanding of digital circuit design and SystemC is a plus
- This role requires strong analytical thinking and the ability to collaborate and communicate in multi-cultural global teams.
Education & Experience
Master’s degree with 3+ years of working experience or PhD in degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science.
Additional Requirements
- The minimum salary pursuant to the applicable collective bargaining agreement amounts to €60.214 gross per year for full time employment. Actual salaries are oriented at current market salaries and take your qualifications and experience into account.
