Apple’s App Store is the world’s largest and most innovative software store, serving hundreds of millions of iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Apple Watch and Mac customers in over 150 countries. We are looking for a dynamic editor to provide parental leave cover to help produce original and engaging content as well as curate the very best apps and games for our audience. This person will be responsible for expressing the App Store’s editorial voice and Apple brand, catering to the diverse preferences of the App Store’s broad audience. They will work closely with the Design, Programming, Marketing and Product teams. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced copy, style and ideas editor with a deep knowledge about mobile technology, gaming and culture and a proven talent for writing. You should be creative and results driven, experienced shaping voice and tone for online publications, and have a deep background driving user engagement across various platforms, including video and social media. This candidate possesses the communication skills to work across a complex matrix of collaborators, and wants to be part of an exceptional team that delivers world-class creative work. You’re a digital and media enthusiast, love keeping up with pop culture, and are excited about how technology shapes our future. Description

- Collaborate with designers, programmers, marketers, and product managers to create amazing user experiences - Work with stakeholders to create and gain agreement on editorial strategies for key initiatives - Generate and implement ideas for editorial on the App Store - including in-app events content and the Apps, Games and Today sections - Manage an evolving programming calendar and style guide - Play a key part in the ideation of new editorial and cross functional projects and be capable of leading teams and making autonomous decisions to obtain results

Minimum Qualifications

  • Extensive experience editing creative content for traditional and online publications
  • Experience working independently, and leading project teams, on complex issues with multiple collaborators and a range of KPIs, showing judgement in determining methods and procedures to obtain results
  • Experience following a style guide, and working with content management systems
  • Experience working with international peers collaboratively

  • Deep passion for the Apple brand, Apple’s products, and mobile technology
  • Excellent communication skills and a track record of forming networks with other key contacts outside of their own area of expertise
  • Resourceful, creative, and collaborative
