Cultivated meat is meat grown directly from animal cells. But how, you may wonder? We're here to walk you through it, step by step. Join us on a journey as we unravel the entire process of making our cultivated meat, starting from a final chicken dinner and working our way backwards until we reach the very source: a living, breathing animal. Believer Meats is proud to partner with the first-ever Bezos Center for Sustainable Protein at North Carolina State University, supported by a $30 million grant from Bezos Earth Fund, to advance alternative protein production and commercialization. The time is now: Global demand for protein projected to double by 2050, and we need new solutions to bridge the gap in supply and demand. That's where our work comes in. North Carolina is well-positioned to lead this next chapter in alternative protein, supported by our commercial-scale cultivated meat facility in Wilson set to be operational by the end of 2024. Together, we’re helping to shape a more robust and resilient global food system. Cultivated meat is the next big breakthrough in food technology, just like the electric car was in transportation. In Norway, electric cars transitioned from representing 2% of total purchases to over 70% within a decade. In the U.S., that figure, once less than 1%, is now approaching 10%. How did it happen? Technology, investment, visionary entrepreneurs, a shift in climate consciousness, time, and supportive policies—all aligning at the right moment. The vision of electric cars was a long-standing dream, but affordability was a gradual two-decade journey. Today, electric cars are accessible to a broader segment of the public. We believe that the cultivated meat industry's trajectory will be even swifter. Our company remains committed to offering products that not only meet but exceed consumer expectations, fulfilling all sensory aspects that consumers desire. It began as a bold, seemingly insane idea, but it's now embraced. We're on the brink of a future where new choices will grace your plate. We'll look back at today's meat landscape as we do at horse-drawn buggies—once practical, but now joined by innovative alternatives. What do you think about the future of cultivated meat? #cultivatedmeat #breakthroughtech #cellbasedmeat #futureoffood #sustainablefood #labgrownmeat #foodtech #foodinnovation

Cultivated meat, beautifully illustrated by the The New York Times Magazine for its readers and narrated by us below. Imagine you love chicken nuggets, but instead of getting them from a farm where chickens are raised, we can create them in a special way. Here's how it works: 1. First, bioengineers take a tiny piece of real chicken cells, almost like the tiniest piece of chicken you can imagine. 2. They place these cells in a special container with nutrients and let them grow, just like how breweries use tanks to create the perfect conditions for yeast to turn ingredients into beer. 3. When the cells grow enough, they are taken out, cleaned, and separated from any waste that might have built up. 4. Once there's enough of this meat, we use it to make delicious foods like nuggets, kebabs, and other delicious foods. Cultivated meat is like making meat from a few cells, without needing to raise a whole animal on a farm. It's a way to enjoy meat while using fewer resources and causing less harm to animals.✨ #cultivatedmeat #realmeat

In 2018, the average global citizen devoured a staggering 75 pounds of meat, that is equivalent to a jaw-dropping 300 quarter-pounder burgers per year! It's clear that our love affair with meat knows no bounds. But hold on to your taste buds because the future of food is here, and it's nothing short of extraordinary. Let's dive into the milestones, trends, and investments that are shaping the culinary landscape of cultivated meat. 🍔 The world's craving for meat is expected to continue growing. The 'Global Agricultural Information Network' report by the United States Department of Agriculture forecasts a 76% increase in global meat consumption by 2050. This means we could potentially be devouring the equivalent of 525 quarter-pounder burgers per person, per year. 🌍 The cultivated meat industry has the potential to reach $25 billion in market size by 2030 and contribute hundreds of billions of pounds of meat to the world's food supply. 💰 Cultivated meat companies raised over $1.3 billion in 2021, with major players like Upside Foods securing $400 million in funding. Not to brag, but we also raised more than $300 million in 2021 when we were Future Meat Technologies! 🌐 Governments are also on board! Israel invested $18 million in 14 cultivated meat companies, while the Dutch government committed $60 million to this tasty cause. The U.S. is establishing a National Institute for Cellular Agriculture with a cool $10 million. 🎉 In November 2022, The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved cultivated meat for human consumption, a big milestone for the industry. 🍽️ And the real feast is about to begin! In December 2022, Believer broke ground on the world's largest commercial-scale production facility in the U.S., gearing up for regulatory approval. At Believer, we’re focused on developing the world’s most efficient cell-cultivation technology, so we can make safe, healthy cultivated meat available and accessible to everyone—without harming animals or our planet. Are you ready to try it? We can’t wait to serve you. #cultivatedmeat #foodinnovation #sustainability #labgrownmeat
