Lady paid for her $17 lunch with a $50 bill. I took the check and the cash from the table and she immediately shouts out, "THE REST IS NOT A TIP FOR YOU". Like duh? That would be over 100% tip which, while lovely, is not the kind of thing one ever expects. I said, "Yes, ma'am, I'm going to get your change." and continued on. She ended up leaving NO tip and just wrote "RUDE" on the receipt. Wtf?
Sounds like that person just wanted an excuse to not leave a tip.
