Lamor Netherlands celebrated the Grand Opening at the end of May. Country Manager Arjen van den Brink opened the new Rental and Response Centre in Werkendam by cutting the ribbon. With the new hub, we enhance our presence in Europe for sales, rental and lease of equipment. An unfortunate traffic accident on the way prevented many of our guests and friends from participating, but we hope to see you in the near future! #lamor #letscleantheworld

Lamor’s team in China and Lamor Eurasia SVP Östen Lindell hosted our CEO Johan Grön at the end of May. The days were filled with meetings with customers and stakeholders in Tianjin area and Beijing and offered valuable insights to all parties. We were warmly welcomed to Cangzhou Port Group by their top management including Chairman Wang. CPG is undertaking the construction and development of Huanghua Port, one of the fastest growing ports in China. Discussions spanned from the waste management to the oil spill response for the Green Port and the Intelligent Port Strategies in the future. Another visit took us to our long-established customer COES (China Offshore Environment Service Co) in Tianjin. Lamor’s people met with the COES management including Deputy GM Feng and Wu. COES specialises in oil spill response services and is affiliated with CNOOC, a major Chinese offshore oil exploration company in China. Last but not least, Johan got to participate in our Beijing office’s town hall meeting, where he discussed strategy, business and references with our local team. Team felt that the discussion was very useful, offering them valuable understanding on our direction. Tapio Pesola has been appointed Director, Investor Relations and Communications as of July 2024. He will be responsible for investor relations, internal and external communications, and report to CEO Johan Grön. “We warmly welcome Tapio to Lamor. His versatile experience from listed companies is an important asset in developing our strategic corporate communications and investor relations further”, says Johan Grön. “At the same time, I would like to thank Chief Strategy Officer Johanna Grönroos for her groundbreaking work in building Lamor's brand and investor relations while becoming a publicly listed company. With Tapio’s appointment, Johanna will now be able to focus on leading our long-term strategic activities, ensuring the implementation of our strategic vision.” Pesola has 20 years of expertise in investor relations and communications within global listed companies. He is transitioning to his new role from Miltton, where he served as a Senior Advisor for investor relations. “Lamor is at a very interesting stage, having transformed in recent years from a family-owned company focused on oil spill response into a key player addressing major global challenges such as soil remediation and plastics recycling, and becoming a main list company. NEOM Company has selected Lamor to deliver a major environmental protection project in Saudi Arabia, with a minimum duration of three years and value of approximately 55 million euros. NEOM is a major regional development scheme, on the Red Sea and Gulf of Aqaba coastline, bordering with Egypt and Jordan. Its total area of 26,500 km2 is designed for living, working, and prosperity. Lamor's services will protect the unique ecosystem, habitats, and biodiversity surrounding the NEOM development. Lamor’s scope of services will include conducting risk assessment, preparing a gap analysis, contingency planning, oil spill surveillance, and set-up of oil spill response services consisting of professional personnel, two fully equipped response stations, and the necessary small boats, vessels and vehicles. Mongla Port in Bangladesh is on track to enhance river and ocean protection from waste and pollution 🌏 According to the latest update on our environmental protection and waste management project in Bangladesh, the two OSR vessels have successfully arrived at Mongla Port after a lengthy journey around Africa due to issues in the Red Sea. The MARPOL vessel, which will gather all types of waste from the vessels, will be transported after completing final sea trials in May. Shipments of the Port Reception Facility (PRF) from Greenflow, a Portuguese waste management solution provider, are either already in Mongla or en route.
