Rank Article Class Views Image Notes/about
UEFA Euro 2024 1,216,340 June 14 saw the opening game, in which hosts Germany demolished Scotland. Three more games followed on June 15, with the opening four games seeing 16 goals between them the most for any UEFA Euro, of FIFA World Cup tournament since 1976. No upsets yet, but there are still 47 games to go.
2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup 1,075,604 History's first ever ICC world cup held in US has almost finished its fixtures in the states, but both hosts have secured their places in the Super 8 while it has been a heartbreak for some teams as even though they had been pre-seeded they have lost their place to other teams now.

An autopsy is underway, but it is believed he died of natural causes.
Pawan Kalyan 892,962 Another actor turned politician assumed the office of deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh on June 12.
Jerry West 889,610 Even if the 2024 NBA Finals are rolling, basketball appears through a recently deceased player, a legend who is downright depicted in the NBA logo. Jerome Alan West played 14 seasons for the Los Angeles Lakers, winning it all in 1972 after seven defeats in the finals, one of whom had him be the only Finals MVP on the losing side. West would get more titles on the managerial side - a post-playing career so good he was twice chosen as Executive of the Year and got a second Hall of Fame enshrinement as a builder - as the general manager of the Showtime Lakers of the 1980s and a board member of the 2010s Golden State Warriors. West was an executive board member and consultant for the Lakers' cross-town rival Los Angeles Clippers when he died at the age of 86.
ChatGPT 795,619 Apple's WWDC 2024, had the most important news about AI has it's been announced that ChatGPT will be integrated into iOS 18, even though it's still opposed by some.
Hit Man (2023 film) 746,866 Glen Powell has been on the rise ever since Top Gun: Maverick, and now has two successful romantic comedies by following with Anyone but You with this movie that Powell co-wrote with director Richard Linklater (pictured). The story, based on true facts, concerns a police collaborator who pretends to be a professional hitman so the police can arrest those who hire his services, only to fall for a woman (Adria Arjona) who wants to get rid of her husband. Netflix purchased the film's distribution rights after it appeared in some 2023 festivals, and added Hit Man to its catalogue after a brief theatrical run.
Inside Out 2 717,850 9 years after Pixar had a big hit telling the story of the emotions (Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, and Anger) running a teenage girl's head, we're back to the mind of Riley Anderson, who two years after a relocation-based breakdown sees the literal arrival of Anxiety, Ennui, Envy and Embarrassment. Inside Out 2 had good reviews and should be making enough money to compensate all the flops Disney had last year.
Carlos Alcaraz 707,590 The Spaniard tennis player who is the current leader of the ATP rankings won his third Grand Slam at the 2024 French Open. And he should soon return to Stade Roland Garros given it will host the tennis tournament of the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Project 2025 606,757 With the 2024 U.S. presidential election coming up this fall, this 900-page document has surfaced up as a major topic of debate among those invested in politics. It contains a series of proposals for a major reshaping of the U.S. government in the event of a Republican victory, including (but not limited to) the dismantling of several federal departments, strongly infusing the government with fundamentalist Christian values, removing climate regulations and terminating programs designed for support of marginalised communities.

This document has been a cause of concern for many American voters who fear that it will turn the U.S. into an autocracy, some of whom shaping their reasoning of voting primarily around preventing it from being enacted.

Clash at the Castle: Scotland 586,862 For the second time in two years, the WWE held a wrestling promotion on June 15 in Glasgow, the first, however, to be shown on both via pay-per-view and livestreaming in Scotland. Five matches were featured, including Scotland's own Drew McIntyre (pictured) losing to the current Raw world heavyweight champion Damian Priest.

The Acolyte (TV series) 536,492 Star Wars' latest streaming series on Disney+, whose third episode (titled "Destiny") was released this week, with five more weekly episodes to follow. Critics reviews have been generally positive, although like most Disney productions in the far-away galaxy, it has been generally controversial with audiences. I remember seeing a preview for this series which was shown at the end of the theatrical re-release for The Phantom Menace. Actually, I didn't, because I walked out of the screening during the credits (as with most people who don't care about Disney-era Star Wars).
2024 European Parliament election 536,303 All 705 seats of the European Parliament were chosen by the 27 nations of the EU, in what was also the first of those elections since Brexit. Not that the Brits don't have some voting of their own...
Opinion polling for the 2024 United Kingdom general election 498,127 With less than three weeks to go, the election campaign is heating up. Labour continue to hold a strong lead, but one opinion poll from the last week showed Reform taking second from the ruling Tories. This would be a major shock to the UK political scene. However, this was one poll, the rest of the polls show the conservatives holding onto second, but by less than 10 percentage points. Sound like a lot? (Depending on what poll you look at) the conservatives lead dropped by more than 10 percentage points in the three weeks before the 2017 UK general election. It's politics - anything can happen.
Bad Boys: Ride or Die 494,970 Hollywood's biggest hit in 2020 was Bad Boys for Life given the goddamned pandemic derailed the filmgoing experience. So it's no surprise that we got a fourth movie out of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as Miami cops Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, which had a positive critical reaction and opened atop the box office.
The Boys (TV series) 490,016 The fourth season of the television series regarding superheroes indulging in debauchery and horrifyingly graphic injuries had its first three episodes released last Thursday on Amazon Prime Video, opposite Netflix's #12.
