Acronyms

Hi! I saw a comment from you at WP:RFPP that you were having trouble with some of the acronyms used at Wikipedia. We do love to throw those around! I've been here over 19 years, and I still have moments of "what the heck is she even talking about with that alphabet soup??" Anyway, most of the time, there's a page associated with an acronym. @Smasongarrison: Are you trying to intimidate me into stopping? You're not an admin, and you're also edit warring. Am I suppose to accept that your preferred order for categories is just objectively superior to mine, just because you're reverting my reverts? I'm not buying it. This is not about intimidation. I am asking you to stop making reverts without discussing them. I have been asking you to take the conversation to the talk page for months, you are the one who has been making unexplained changes. The norm is that the discussion happens after the first revert. The status quo is the default, which has been to not include the category in a more specific kind of death. For example, you added the assinnation category, [3], I reverted stating that they were not assinnation [4], and then you added it back without discussion or edit summary[5]. I restated my concerns [6], you reverted without explanation [7], and after I reverted you again, I asked you to take it to the talk page [8]. You did not, and have kept adding it back without explanation [9] Mason (talk) 19:22, 21 March 2024 (UTC)

If you want to assume that the deaths in these categories are politically motivated, then please propose a rename to make that clearer. Mason (talk) 19:24, 21 March 2024 (UTC)

Well, you can call my approach rigid and inflexible, but that doesn't resolve the issue at hand. You're making an assumption about the category. My solution is to rename the category to make your assumption explicit. Mason (talk) 20:06, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
