    Like many others, you may have been exposed to the social media trend where people document their morning routine before they head to their day job. Otherwise called ''My 5 to 9 before my 9 to 5.'' ⏰ These videos detail back to back chores and productivity-packed rituals, all of which may leave you feeling like you’re missing out on a lot of activities, or maybe even slacking off! 📲 This begs the question: Should we embrace the routine of corporate life or challenge it? 🤔 Let’s find out! 🤓 ⚠️ Before we delve in, it’s important to remember that there isn’t a one-size-fits-all lifestyle to follow here; each one of us adapts (or learns to adapt) to our resources, needs, and personal priorities! With that in mind, there are definitely some pros to having a corporate life routine, but it also comes with a certain baggage of its own. So let’s break them down bit by bit! Pros of corporate life routine: ✔ Stability and sense of security; you know what to expect each day. ✔ Ability to navigate your workflow and tasks; our familiarity with the demands of each task makes it easier for us to split our efforts efficiently. ✔ The opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of our field and gain expertise; when we’re focused on specific responsibilities, we’re able to refine our skills in our department even further. On the other hand, we’ve got list of cons: ❌ Repeating the same tasks over and over may feel a little tedious and unstimulating, which may affect our overall engagement and motivation. ❌ With corporate life routine the hours are often rigid, with little to no room for flexibility, which may stifle our pursuit of trying to achieve a work-life balance. ❌ Potential poor management; a 2022 study revealed that 86% of employees didn’t that their voices are heard equally or fairly. Corporate work environments can be a real spirit kicker.
