From development onto the big stage: May was all about the new #Porsche 911 Fundamentally upgraded, the automotive world eagerly awaited the unveiling of the first Porsche 911 with hybrid drive. As we marked this extraordinary milestone, we also looked back on the unique history of this iconic sports car by talking to our developers of the eighth generation. Continuing our commitment, Porsche Leipzig GmbH celebrated the start of electromobility and Porsche Motorsport continued its commitment to the all-electric Formula E. The #Porsche Golf Cup World Final again thrilled everybody in 2024, and it was not only down to the impressive winning performances in several classes. The ninth holding of the World Final, the culmination of the exclusive amateur tournament series, offered the 69 qualified golfers and their accompanying persons excellently prepared golf courses and special side events on the Balearic Island. #Porsche is continuing to expand its own fast-charging network: following Bingen am Rhein, Estenfeld near Würzburg and Koblach in Austria, the fourth Porsche Charging Lounge in Ingolstadt has opened for business. Four DC fast-charging stations with a charging capacity of up to 400 kW and two AC charging points with 22 kW are available on the premises of the Porsche Centre. At the three existing lounge locations, the maximum charging capacity of the fast-charging stations has also been increased from 300 to 400 kW. In addition to this very high charging performance, the pleasant ambience and central handling of charging costs via the Porsche Charging Service are among the advantages of the Porsche Charging Lounges. Fully digital cockpit and expanded connectivity In the cockpit, #Porsche combines the familiar 911 design DNA with modern technology: the Porsche Driver Experience control concept focuses on the driver’s axis and intuitive, faster operation. Essential control elements have been arranged directly on or around the steering wheel. These include the standard driving mode switch, the revised driver assistance lever and, for the first time in the 911, a start button – to the left of the steering wheel, naturally. In the centre console storage compartment of the new 911, there is a cooled compartment for smartphones, with an inductive charging function. For the first time, the 911 has a fully digital instrument cluster. The 12.6-inch curved display fits elegantly into the new control and display concept and can be extensively customised. It offers up to seven views, including an exclusive Classic display inspired by the traditional five-tube Porsche dial design with a central tachometer. A sign of the region’s solidarity Donation and thank-you campaign: VfB Stuttgart, Mercedes-Benz AG/Mercedes-Benz Bank AG, Porsche and JAKO AG are jointly donating 500,000 euros in emergency aid to the central donation account of the Rems-Murr, Ludwigsburg, Göppingen and Ostalb districts near Stuttgart to help – in a quick and unbureaucratic way – those communities that have been particularly hard hit by flooding. In addition, as a thank you, VfB is inviting 5,000 volunteer emergency and rescue workers to the season opener. "We are very pleased to be able to support in getting practical help on the ground. Together with our partners, we have put together an effective package for this, and I would like to thank them very much. The floods have demonstrated how indispensable mutual aid is and how important it is to support others, to ensure the functioning of our society both in dangerous and emergency situations, as well as in everyday life. With this campaign, we are setting an example for support and cohesion in our region," says Alexander Wehrle, CEO of VfB Stuttgart. "The guiding principle of our commitment to VfB is ‘from the region and for the region’ – and with this fundraising campaign we are bringing this motto to life. Our common goal is to help people who are in need, in an uncomplicated way, and to give them new hope," says Lutz Meschke, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board and Member of the Executive Board for Finance and IT at Porsche AG. In addition, VfB Stuttgart will set another example of regional cohesion in August. As part of the official season opener at the MHP Arena on 10 August, VfB would like to show their appreciation for the fire service, police, rescue services and the Federal Agency for Technical Relief for their response to the floods, as well as their fundamentally important societal contributions in general. For the season opening match against the Spanish Cup winners Athletic Club Bilbao, 5,000 tickets will be made available to emergency and rescue workers. The VfB foundation “Brustring der Herzen” will also appeal for further donations for the flood victims in the southwest at the match.

A beginner’s guide to the 24 Hours of Le Mans When it comes to endurance racing, there’s a weekend each year that’s ringed in the calendar of all motorsport fans. Along with the Monaco Grand Prix and the Indy 500, the 24 Hours of Le Mans is one of the most famous of all motor racing events. Held every June at Le Mans in north-west France, the event celebrated its 100th anniversary last year. For one weekend, Solitude Revival is bringing the former racing track in the Glemstal valley back to life. #Porsche Heritage and Museum is sending seven sports cars on a high-octane journey back in time to the 1950s through to the 1980s. “We are delighted to be going there with some legendary cars and drivers when the former racetrack comes back to life for two days,” says Achim Stejskal, Head of Porsche Heritage and Museum. “One of the targets of our 'Mission Future Heritage' is to build a bridge to the future and also reach the younger generation with our understanding of driving culture.
