Last Thursday we held our annual 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 and our minds are still full of inspiration. 💡 ✨ Shoutout to the organization team, our visitors and especially all speakers, you made this day truly memorable. The exceptional 360 degree view over Munich was the icing on the cake. The idea was to connect industry, academia and investor thought leaders, to spark ideas and create meaningful connections. The result was a multi-faceted program of presentations, discussion panel and workshops that provided a lot of food for thought for extensive exchange in the breaks in between. Last week, Motius was buzzing with energy as we celebrated our 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 in style. Culture week is a new tradition where we all go to the office for a week to hang out with our colleagues in person and strengthen the team spirit. We love the flexibility of having a hybrid working mode at Motius, but we also want to be connected with Motees that we don’t see at the office that often. For example, our Serbian colleagues or Motees from other teams/projects. 💙 From Bavarian breakfasts and homemade cakes to pizza feasts, coupled with ping pong battles and a inspiring DNA session for our newcomers. We wrapped up the week with our legendary Spring Party! 🍸💃 What a week! Huge thanks to everyone who jumped in and made it spectacular. Say hi to Dominik Bartsch, our new Head of Sales at Motius! 🌟 He has been at Motius since the early startup days and knows the R&D business inside out. For some adventurous years he represented Motius in Dubai, but we’re lucky to have him back here at our Munich headquarters since 2022. He still misses the Dubai sun dearly, but the broad variety or exciting projects in Munich surely make up for it. Dominik is dedicated to guiding our clients through their unique challenges with innovative solutions. He has a sixth sense for navigating tricky negotiations - and for finding a good glass of prosecco, which is his favorite way of celebrating a successful project closing (or other occasions, like starting the weekend). #TeamMotius #InnovationLeader #TechIndustry

Some valuable tips from our Head of HR Mareike Holinski on how to promote mental health at work. 💡 Change is the only constant at Motius, which is great fun but also requires resilience to foster a healthy work life. Especially when feeling overwhelmed, getting uncomplicated and fast coaching to clarify the situation and potential options is key. Among others, we use Likeminded coaching sessions for this. But of course, it doesn't end there. As Mareike points out below, we recommend using different channels and formats. We all know how important good sleep and relaxation is for a healthy life - but that’s often easier said than done… it’s like a muscle, that needs training every now and then. 💪 😴 Last week, at our first Motius Health Day, we did exactly that. We explored our sleeping habits (have you ever analized your sleep with a pupillograhy?!), tried out helpful gadgets and unwinded with a fantasy journey. Now it’s time to apply the newly learned insights and find out, what works best. First step is: visiting our nap/meditation room at the office more often.
