As an automotive supplier, we also contribute to the mobility transition with our products. 🌱 🔋 But did you know that #electric cars are up to 300 kg heavier than comparable combustion engine? This is primarily due to the battery, but additional equipment also increases the weight. 🧐   So every kilogram counts in product development for electrified and therefore more #sustainable cars!   💡 Our approach: we manufacture door modules from thermoplastic composite. The innovative lightweight material and our modular design achieve weight savings of several kilograms per vehicle door.   The further development of the structural module offers further potential. Here, the system limits of the door modules are extended so that they also take on static structural tasks in the door. Our module thus replaces parts of the door body.   Car manufacturers receive the system as a pre-tested unit and it only takes a few simple steps to insert it into the door frame. The more functions, such as fastening elements for cables or guide rails, are integrated on the module, the less additional work needs to be carried out. This not only saves weight, but also costs! #brose #automotive #supplier #excellenceinside #sustainability

Top award for top work: We have been recognized for our quality and excellence! 🏆 This month, General Motors presented our plant in Hallstadt, Germany, with the Supplier Quality Excellence Award for the year 2023, and there is a lot of excitement in North America as well. The customer team in Auburn Hills works closely with GM to identify market-specific needs. Effective collaboration between the project teams in Hallstadt, Auburn Hills and Querétaro Benito Juárez in Mexico made this success possible. #brose #automotiv #supplier #excellenceinside #buildingexcellencetogehter

A sustainable product has to be designed as such. #Development and product #design are our strongest levers for achieving our sustainability goals. 🌱 💡 We design our products to be circular from the start. This means less waste, recyclable materials and increased recyclability. For example, by remanufacturing used e-bike drives, Brose E-Bike can save 240 tons of CO2-emissions per year. We also use sustainable materials, including recycled or innovative bio-based materials. 💡 We have ambitious goals to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of our products. By 2039, we aim to offer our customers carbon-neutral products. Thanks to our global production network, we can ensure short delivery routes and regional supply. 💡 As an automotive supplier, we are also contributing to the transformation of mobility. For example, our electrified auxiliary units increase the efficiency of cars, and our door modules made of innovative lightweight materials help reduce weight. We also produce components and systems for e-bikes and e-scooters. #brose #automotive #supplier #excellenceinside #transformation #sustainability #products #design

Max Brose Hilfe supports the work of the “Youth Truck” in #Uganda for a full year. 👍 The vehicle brings employees and trained youth advisors to hard-to-reach rural areas and poor urban districts of the country. The aim: education. Uganda has one of the world's youngest populations. Nearly 50 percent of the population is under the age of 15, and the population is growing rapidly at three percent a year. While this presents many opportunities for the country's young people, it also poses challenges. For example, there is high youth unemployment and a lack of prospects. Access to sexual and reproductive health and rights information, products and services is also inadequate. Diseases such as HIV/AIDS are widespread, and teenage pregnancies and the associated complications are on the rise, particularly in rural areas. Thanks to Max Brose Hilfe e. V., the Youth Truck team has already been able to carry out many activities to educate and support children and young people in an age-appropriate manner. Equipped with loudspeakers, a beamer, a screen and comprehensive information material, the Youth Truck Team uses interactive and entertaining methods to familiarize young people with important topics such as contraception, HIV/AIDS prevention, hygiene and gender equality. #brose #buildingexcellencetogether #socialengagement #support

"We must be able to rely on each other.” 🤝 What Max Brose, the founder of our family-owned company, already attached great importance to, still carries great weight today. For this reason, this sentence is also the mission statement of Max Brose Hilfe e.V.. Max Brose Hilfe is a registered association in Germany. The #association supports social and humanitarian projects in the areas of #health, #education, #culture, #art and #sports. A distinction is made between "major projects", such as humanitarian initiatives in needy regions of the world, and "emergency aid" for associations or projects in which Brose employees are involved on a voluntary basis. Any Brose employee can apply for support from Max Brose Hilfe. The projects are diverse and range from building a tree house to sponsoring a youth brass band to supporting the Workers' Samaritan Association's wish wagon. As a guest at the Consulate General of #India: Our CEO Philipp Schramm had a one-hour meeting with the Indian Consul General Mohit Yadav and informed him about Brose's business in India. 🤝   Our family-owned company has been active in the city of Pune in the Indian state of Maharashtra for 16 years. We started here with a #development center, followed by #production facilities in 2011. Today, around 740 employees work for Brose India for all three business units – Exterior, Interior and Drives.   During their meeting, the two partners also exchanged views on government programs that can help Brose grow in the world's fifth-largest economy. Schramm also addressed current challenges such as bureaucratic hurdles, which are often much higher than in other countries. Yadav promised to sensitize the relevant government agencies in India to these issues.   Finally, Philipp Schramm invited the Indian Consul General to visit Brose, which he gladly accepted. We are looking forward to further exchanges!   #brose #automotive #excellenceinside #mobility #exchange #india
