I have several questions about premium\enterprise subscriptions and workspaces.

vey May 22, 2024
  1. If i upgrade to premium, will that premium apply to my account or only 1 workspace that i choose, if it applies on account then all workspaces that i created/will create will be with premium features?
  2. In Pricing tab is says that enterprise solution includes *UNLIMITED WORSKPACES*, but on free account i can create any number of them, but without paid features and it doesn't says anywhere, about workspaces, that they are limited to some number.
So what does *UNLIMITED WORSKPACES* mean?

  1. Premium and Standard upgrades applies to a single Workspace.
  2. Enterprise is intended for very large teams, who may need to have people in multiple Workspaces. With Standard or Premium, each Workspace would need to be upgraded separately, and you could end up paying for each person multiple times if they were in multiple Workspaces. In Enterprise, you just pay for each person once, no matter how many Workspaces within the Enterprise they belong to. Please note that there's a 50 user minimum for Enterprise.

So, Enterprise applies on user or on a workspace? If on user ,then that user can create multiple workspaces with need features and unlimited members per workspaces? Or how does Enterprise work?

Hi @vey ,

With an Enterprise subscription, you pay for the number of licensed users you have in the Enterprise instance.

Licensed Enterprise users are bound by Enterprise restrictions, and they will only be able to create Enterprise-owned content (i.e. boards, Workspaces).

You can read more about that here: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/managing-licensed-members-on-the-enterprise-admin-dashboard/#Licensed-Members

You can also have free managed accounts, which are not billable users in the Enterprise, and who are not bound by Enterprise restrictions so they can create their own boards and Workspaces outside of the Enterprise. You can read more about this membership type here: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/managing-licensed-members-on-the-enterprise-admin-dashboard/#Free-Managed-Accounts

Please let us know if you have any other questions, and we'll be happy to help.

thanks for the info

I also have a question about Board, is there a way to close\lock completed lists? for example, we had 3 phases of project, separated in 3 lists, we finished phase 1 of project and wanted to close\lock the 1st list on board so it cant be edited\altered, just viewed by users.

Only thing that i saw im able to archive the list, bust thats not it.

Hi Vey,

Right now, it's not possible to lock a list.

While this exact functionality isn’t currently available in Trello, I have gone ahead and created a new feature suggestion for you with our product team which you can access here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/TRELLO-374

I would recommend you visit that suggestion, log in with your Atlassian account, and click Start watching this issue on the right panel. This will help our product and engineering team understand more about which functionalities our users are interested in. Also, when the ticket is updated by our product team, you'll be notified via email.

You can learn more about this by reading our Implementation of New Features Policy.

If you have any questions about this suggestion, any additional information you would like to share, or any comments on our new features policy, please let us know!

All the best,

Lara
