API/email notification of a closed sprint

HI,

When a sprint is closed in Jira, does it generate an API/JSON response or email notification? Where and how is the closed sprint response stored and in what format? I am looking for getting a real time sprint closure response from Jira for all boards and sprints as and when sprints are closed. I want to extract sprint data of every board and sprint and store it in table/DB and then use this data for further custom metrics calculations.
