To defeat today’s deadliest infectious diseases and better prepare for future health threats we need resilient, strong health and community systems. ✅Supply chains that deliver lifesaving medicines to everyone. ✅Health workers who are paid and well trained. ✅Up-to-date laboratories, reliable medical oxygen and early warning systems that catch emerging threats.   Resilient, strong health and community systems help ensure everyone, everywhere can access health care. They form the foundation of the fight against HIV, tuberculosis and malaria as well as diseases like COVID-19 – which emerge suddenly and spread quickly.   The Global Fund is the largest multilateral grants provider for health and community systems worldwide, investing more than US$2 billion every year to save lives today and prepare for what could come tomorrow.

We have to be of good character, be empathetic and know how to put ourselves in the other person’s shoes.” Jeanne Clarisse Mengue is a community health worker from Nnom Nnam, Cameroon. For Jeanne, being a community health worker is more than a job. It’s a passion, a commitment to help and protect people, and a chance to be a voice for her community. We’re hiring a Head of Health Finance to join our executive team. The Head of the Health Finance Department will lead the efforts to position the Global Fund as a leading voice on health financing and will manage a team of experts to implement our strategic approach, ensuring effective coordination and collaboration across teams and with countries to support enhancements in domestic health financing.
