The Intercompany Games held in Barcelona closed with record participation. More than 270 employees from our Siegfried Barberà and Siegfried El Masnou sites participated in these solidarity games that raised more than 24,000 Euros to support projects promoted by the Fundación Josep Carreras contra la Leucemia and the Associació 8000 estels, both focused on the fight against cancer in its different types, and the Asociación Norte Joven in its mission to promote social and labor integration of socially disadvantaged adolescents. The team spirit, healthy competition and, above all, the commitment of all Siegfried employees in such a noble cause made this event a real success once again. Last week we welcomed the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) and the Foundation Board at our headquarters to discuss the importance of cooperation between academic and industrial organizations as well as access to specialists and new technologies. Our Siegfried R&D team has had many fruitful collaborations with FHNW in the past, including many Bachelor theses, publications and participation in a patent application.

Our Siegfried sites in Barcelona once again participate in the Intercompany Games, a solidarity business Olympics organized by unit events that aims to promote teamwork and solidarity between companies using sport as powerful tool for communication and cohesion. The profits will go to the Fundación Josep Carreras to continue the fight against leukemia, as well as to the 8.000 estels Association to support research into childhood cancer. In this 18th edition, the record number of participants was broken with more than 2700 people taking part in more than 20 different disciplines. The competition began on 1 May and will end on 30 May.
