The ICONIC-M trial got off to a flying start in the new year: the first two heart failure patients, indicated for the implantation of a cardiac resynchronisation device, were implanted using EP Solutions’s pre-implantation planning tool. Congratulations to the implantation team at Maastricht UMC+, Twan van Stipdonk, Ömer Erküner, Claudia Zimmermann, Roelanda van Buggenum, radiologist Casper Mihl and Ludwik Firek Ph.D. from EP Solutions ! EP Solutions’ planning tool was used to help the implanting physicians identify the optimal position for left ventricular electrode lead placement. The multicentre, randomised, controlled ICONIC-M trial, led by principal investigator Niraj Varma, will assess its impact on clinical response to the therapy.
