We're expanding our manufacturing capabilities in Europe with our new $35 million greenfield investment. With growing reliance on electronics and data centers, we are investing more than $35 million (£27 million), in a state of the art earthing and lightning protection factory in Nottingham, United Kingdom. This new greenfield facility, set to open in early 2025, will significantly boost production of our Furse® solutions in over 20 countries. These solutions are crucial to help protect against lightning strikes and electrical surges, which can disrupt critical operations and cause billions of dollars in damage to structures and equipment each year. Key highlights: 🔹 Integration of advanced technology and flexible automation, R&D and digital processes 🔹 Expanded 9,500 m² facility constructed according to sustainable building, standards, technologies and processes 🔹 More than 100 employees to relocate to the new facility from our historic Nottingham foundry 🔹 Facility supports collaboration and training, accelerates R&D, increases global inventory and drives automation for European customers The UK investment adds to more than $165 million in our Installation Products global expansions and improvements since 2020 to increase manufacturing capacity, drive innovation and sustainability, and bring needed products closer to customers. Our new alliance will enable the effective production of green hydrogen! Green hydrogen and its derivatives such as green ammonia and eMethanol can be applied as e-fuels, which are key factors to decarbonize energy intensive industries and long-distance transportation. Which is why we are excited to partner with Topsoe and Fluor Corporation to design a standardized concept for building Topsoe's Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cells [SOEC] factories, which will provide state-of-the-art electrolyzers that enable industrial-scale production of green hydrogen. The aim is to continuously develop processes to reduce costs, enhance safety, and secure an efficient project execution via a standardized approach. Topsoe's first SOEC factory in Herning, Denmark is expected to begin operations by late 2024.
