>20 Hard cut off for text, only non-text below this value.

No content text less than 12px.
No text less than 10px (only copyright/legal/byline etc)
No content text over 120px.

In-between values may be interpolated. Linear interpolation is approved provided that it is between immediately adjacent levels, and always rounded up (ceiling). Fonts may be rounded up to the nearest 0.5px when less than 24px, or to the nearest 1px for larger fonts.

GENERAL GUIDELINES on APCA LEVELS

100 • For extremely thin fonts, also 100 is a suggested maximum for very large and bold fonts, and large areas of color.
80 • Preferred level for columns of body text. Also, can be used for any text where readability is important.
60 • The minimum level recommended for content text, that is, text you want people to read. "Sort of" like the old 4.5:1 in WCAG2.
40 • The minimum level for larger text such as headlines, and large text that should be readable fluently. "Sort of" like the old 3:1 in WCAG2.
20 • The absolute minimum for any text, including text for spot reading. Large non-text content can be below this however.
10 • The absolute minimum for any non-text that needs to be discernible, but does not include fine details, such as buttons. Designers should treat anything below this level as invisible, as it will not be visible for many users.
