This is such an amazing book. The story is amazing, so round of applause to Suzanne Collins for what she does. This is really one of the greatest books ever, and this is the best in the trilogy.
The narrator really does an amazing job of bringing this story to life. Amazing voices for each of the characters, and she really does a great job of bringing emotion to the story.

Don’t Despair — There’s an Original Recording!!!!
I was quite surprised (and disappointed) when I realized that the Hunger Games trilogy had been re-recorded. I fell in love with the books, and then again with the original reading of Carolyn McCormick.
There’s something about Carolyn’s narrations that made Katniss come to life — the inflections in her tone, but you can also tell when something is suspicious, fear is near, or comical.
I really started to appreciate Carolyn’s reading in “Catching Fire.” - the way she details the fawning of the capital over the cunning Finnick Odair, analyzes how Haymitch won the 2nd Quarter Quell, laments the terrors of the game makers’ Clock Arena — all the these things pulled me into the story.
**This has only been matched by Roy Dotrice’s narration in the Game of Thrones series.
