Have you ever wondered - what do bathrooms have to do with inclusion at work❓ Last week we held an online webinar exploring why accessible and inclusive bathrooms have become more important than ever as employees rightly expect workplaces to accommodate the health and wellbeing of all staff needs in a variety of ways. The webinar recording is now available for DCA members where we discuss how access to comfortable, safe and inclusive bathrooms and related products can contribute to a more inclusive workplace. 👉https://ow.ly/r9Fe50StpPr Our guest panel explored the benefits of workplace bathrooms that support: * women, girls and people who menstruate * trans and gender diverse people * people with disabilities or with health conditions * people of all faiths and religions. DCA members watch, or re-watch the webinar, here. 👉 https://ow.ly/r9Fe50StpPr #InclusionAtWork #WorkplaceInclusion #InclusiveBathrooms #BathroomsAndInclusion #GenderInclusiveBathrooms #DiversityEquityInclusion #HumanResources #BusinessAustralia

Culturally and racially diverse women across Australian workplaces told us they "act white" to fit in and get ahead, according to our ground-breaking research into culturally and racially marginalised (CARM) women in leadership. Many felt they had to hide or change their identity in the workplace. Many also reported facing racism and sexism at work. We're revisiting the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) story by Nassim Khadem which featured the experiences of some of the women who participated in our CARM women in leadership research. https://ow.ly/s7fB50SuhoF Thank you Nassim and all the CARM women who contributed to this work, which has also gone on to inform the release of our Centring Marginalised Voices Guide released earlier this year. Make sure to check out both reports and learn what your workplace can do to remove barriers for culturally and racially marginalised employees. Indigenous women who are carers experience a ‘triple jeopardy’ effect due to the combination of these three aspects of their identity amplifying experiences of discrimination and exclusion at work. Indigenous women with caring responsibilities are: * More likely to feel unsafe in the workplace, * More likely to carry extra expectations to make their workplace culturally sensitive and engaged, and * Less supported when they encounter racism and unfair treatment.
