Violent extremism risk assessment tools have become an important way of understanding and managing the threat posed by radicalised offenders in custodial and community settings. To test the application of VERA-2R, 50 radicalised individuals were assessed using the tool. People with disability often find online dating more accessible, allowing them to feel more confident.   While there are clear benefits to online dating for people with disability, they are also at a higher risk of experiencing dating app facilitated sexual violence. In our #TrendsAndIssues report released today, we identified the best practice principles to guide the development and implementation of initiatives that aim to prevent child sexual abuse material offending. Seven principles are described in this paper: 👉 the use of advertising campaigns  👉confidentiality and anonymity  👉 empathetic and non-judgemental approach  👉 accessibility  👉 training and support  👉 tailored programs  👉 evaluation. People with disability are at an increased risk of sexual violence, particularly on online dating apps. Today we released a #TrendsAndIssues report which found that 88% of the dating app users with disability surveyed had experienced some form of dating app facilitated sexual violence. Women, First Nations users, and LGBTQIA+ users with disability were particularly likely to have been victimised.
