Anyone with the most minor interest in art needs this app

Anyone with the most minor interest in art, needs this app; it will create a great lover of art out of you. Honestly, I think anyone at all needs this app, there isn’t a single person I know who doesn’t appreciate some paintings, even if not others, which is the beauty of this app. It is the most unobtrusive entry into the world of art, featuring pieces taken from the most famous museums and galleries around the world and smaller ones that are lesser known, that introduce you to things you would have never found otherwise. The method is pretty simple, 1 piece a day with a short bit about what you’re looking at underneath. That’s it, there you go. If you don’t like todays, wait till tomorrow. And bit by bit, you start to enter into the vast world of art and movements and cultures and it becomes really cool and also beautiful. I suggest paying to remove ads, it’s not expensive and it let’s you click around freely, search for specific pieces, look at your favorites, etc. Another feature I love is that the pictures of the art when you click on them each day typically are very high resolution, much nicer than what you can find on the internet, and you can zoom in and out and really see so much detail that you would otherwise only be able to see if you were there at the museum, potentially halfway across the world.

Perfect for beginners

I have been using DailyArt for 4 years years now, since I was a sophomore in college. Before that, I didn’t have much experience in the art realm as far as history went. I mainly knew that I had an ability to appreciate art, that it made me happy to look at and analyze a piece, and that it made me think critically about something other than school which I have appreciated ever since downloading this app. DailyArt curates works everyday so that I don’t have to go out looking on my own and they have introduced me to so many artists I wouldn’t have otherwise stumbled upon. This app has become my escape from the busy life as a student now in a doctoral program, allowing me to slip away into the wonderful world of art and push the stress of exams, deadlines, etc away even if it is just for a moment. I highly recommend this app to any beginner (and seasoned art connoisseur as well) wanting to learn about art from around the world and establish a solid base. The diversity of works presented allows you to develop your own tastes so that you can go out and research your preferred style even more. It has become part of my daily routine and I recommend reading the daily work over breakfast with a warm cup of coffee and a pastry😁

First bug problem encountered

I love this app, especially the widget options. I have this on a page of my phone along with a smaller widget of zen quotes. The app has taught me so much about art, and I love that we also get snippets of the artist’s life which give so much more color to the artwork. I have discovered quite a few instantly favorite artists (Joaquin Sorolla) and I do enjoy the days that show more diversity in art. For what the developers are currently able to manage art history-wise, I’m satisfied.

I’ve had this app over a year and have just encountered my first issue with it - the widget no longer refreshes daily. It is stuck on the previous day’s art until I open the app, let it refresh, then close out. After that, the widget shows the current day’s art. If I don’t open the app, it will stay stuck on that day’s art for days until opened again.
