Block annoying scammers who hide behind fake phone numbers.

Do you get unwanted calls or text messages from phone numbers similar to your own? With Number Shield, block an entire group of numbers at once. Just enter a wildcard for each digit you want to block.

For example, if your number is 714-555-1234, scammers might use a number like 714-555-6789. Block all similar numbers by entering 714-555-####. Wildcards and numbers can be combined in any order you choose. Block international numbers, too!

Use the "Allow Contacts" option to make sure you don't miss calls from your family and friends.

Block numbers directly from your phone's missed calls screen. Just follow these steps:

1. Tap the “ i ” button next to the missed call.
2. Tap “Share Contact”.
3. Tap “Block Similar Numbers”. (If you don't see this action, tap “Edit Actions...“ to enable it.)
4. Now you'll see the Number Shield number entry screen. Tap “Done” to block calls from similar numbers.

Please note:

• Each number pattern can contain up to 7 wildcards, and up to 50,000,000 phone numbers can be blocked.
• Blocked calls are sent directly to voice mail.
• Blocked text messages are sent to the “Junk” filter in the Messages app.
• iMessage messages are not blocked.
• When “Do Not Disturb” is enabled on your phone, calls that should be blocked may appear in your phone's list of missed calls.

Me han estado llamando de bancos para ofrecer créditos siempre los mando al diablo pero siguen llamando y se filtra de otras aplicaciones, me di cuenta que TODOS sus números empiezan con los mismos 6 dígitos, esta app es la única que te deja bloquear por dígitos, los cambian cada 2-3 semanas pero al primero los bloqueas y Paz por semanas.

Me estaban acosando bastante y a todas horas de diferentes números, pero con ésta app pude bloquear todo el rango y ya no he tenido problemas.

Application has bugs

Application has big bugs and the “support” just doesn’t know how to fix them. It was working fine, until I start getting a weird error. Then none of the calls were blocked and their “solution” was “please hard reset your iPhone to fix it”. Completely insane! Instead of finding the bug and fix they just send you to reset the iPhone from scratch. I deleted the application.

Funcionó bien un tiempo hasta que comenzó a mandar errores de base de datos. La “solución” que me daba su “soporte” fue un hard reset de mi iPhone en lugar de buscar corregir el bug. Pésimo soporte y mantenimiento de la app. Mejor borré la app de mi dispositivo. Además algo hizo que ya no permite funcionar otras apps parecidas. Pésima app!

I’m really sorry to hear that you ran into this problem. This happens to a small percentage of users, and the problem is caused by a corrupted database on the phone. This database is provided by iOS, and Number Shield doesn’t have direct access to it. Because of that, the app has no way to fix the database.

The only known way to fix it is to do a full reset of your phone. Fortunately, if you have an iCloud backup, the process is fairly painless (although it does take a bit of time.)

This problem is certainly annoying, and we hope it will be addressed in a future update to iOS.
