Stepping into our fourth mission with Operation Smile UAE, we've embarked on our first journey in Central America. This mission changed the lives of 80 children, providing transformative procedures for cleft lip, cleft palate, and other facial anomalies. Every smile we helped create is a step towards unlocking the potential within these children. As part of the Mubadala Employee Volunteering Program, our commitment runs deep, touching communities with compassion and care. In Honduras, our team from various offices across the globe came together, united by a shared purpose. Luca Molinari, our Head of Asia and Financial Services, Direct Investments, spoke at the J.P. Morgan Asia Summit in Shanghai. During the "Middle East-China Investment Corridor" panel, Luca highlighted our commitment to doubling down on investments in Asia by 2030, our focus on continuing to invest in renewable energy and decarbonizing industries, and addressing the opportunities and challenges faced by investors in China.

Expanding the capabilities of their innovation, SailGP and our portfolio company, STRATA Manufacturing PJSC, have announced a new production-based partnership. The UAE-based manufacturer will make and supply key components of the iconic F50 catamarans used by all athletes in the high-speed race on water. Watch to learn more.

The UAE-based innovator enters the world of water sports and will craft and supply crucial components for the iconic F50 catamarans used by all competitors in these high-speed water races. Our Traditional Infrastructure team announced that they have made a cornerstone investment in PAG’s Asia Pacific renewable energy platform (“PAG REN I”). This platform will primarily focus on supplying solar power to corporations in Japan and play a critical role in supporting large corporations across Japan as they transition to clean energy, capitalizing on Japan’s corporate Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) framework to help businesses purchase electricity directly from renewable energy suppliers on a long-term basis. Our investment will contribute towards Japan’s solar plans, with the country targeting to install 108GW of solar capacity by 2030.
