On March 8, 2024 in Long Beach, California, CCEJ convened 300 community members for a day of learning, connection, reflection and dialogue. Keynote speaker Dr. Anthony Ocampo spoke with LBUSD Deputy Superintendent Dr. Tiffany Brown about research experiences for his book “Brown and Gay in LA: The Lives of Immigrant Sons,” the value of supporting youth in conversations about sexual orientation and gender identity, and how he sees his work contributing to larger movements for gender justice.
